Vegan Fruit Jellies

A great, healthy snack for kids and adults. With only 2 ingredients these are the EASIEST thing you'll make today, plus they are great for lunchboxes and on the go fuel.

 

Serves: 40 jellies

Time: 10 minutes

 

Ingredients:

 

 

2 cups fruit juice - *See tips

2 ts Agar Agar powder

 

Method:

Place the fruit juice into a small pot on the stove and heat.

Sprinkle Agar Agar on top and let it dissolve into the hot fruit juice.

Whisk for 5 minutes to ensure Agar Agar is full dissolved.

Pour into jelly moulds or a lined slice tin and refrigerate for 2 hours until set.

 

Tips:

You can use any fruit juice you like, I used a bought pomegranate and raspberry but you could use fresh apple, orange, whatever you like. Get creative!

Agar Agar is a great thickening alternative for vegans to gelatin, for making treats like this. It is an extracted from red seaweed and it is an excellent source of calcium, iron, folate, fibre, and manganese. There is no sugar or carbohydrates in agar.
